The video starts out with slow motion effects. In the scene the children are playing dodge ball, and the balls that are being thrown appear to move slowly through the air and out of the hands of the players. The next effect that I noticed while watching this video was the fact that some of the scenes appear to have a bit of a delayed effect, meaning that they seem to lag compared to others. Also noticeable is the fact that there seems to be scenes in which the figures are outlined, and a slight threshold effect is almost set into play. The other extremely evident effect in this video is the use of overlaying, which allows several different shots/scenes to be showing at once. This effect truly aids in the viewers experience because it forces the viewer to pay better attention, as well as showing them that there are many things that go on (in this case in the world) than simply the here and now. The overall effects used in this video really adds to the content, because it seems to give a sense of longing and destruction. To view the video for yourself and see if the effects are too much, or fit with the theme, I will attach the link below.
